Southside Café is the largest dining center on campus. Because of its size, you will find a large selection of food options at Southside. And if you are craving a late-night snack, be sure to check out Flix, which is located in the same building.

Everyday Choices

Breakfast on the go!

Start your day off with a continental breakfast of eggs, tofu scrambles, bacon, pancakes, and/or potatoes, or try something different with our international breakfast options. In a hurry? Try our rotating selection of wrapped breakfast sandwiches on a croissant, English muffin, or biscuit. Breakfast burritos are available on a rotating basis, and vegetarian sandwiches are available daily.

Cereal, Yogurt, and Fruit

Looking for something to grab on the go? All of our dining centers offer a large selection of cold and hot cereals, fruits, and locally made yogurt. Non-dairy milks are also available.

Stonewall Pizza and Pasta

In the mood for pizza? Try our rotating selection of pizzas and calzones, made fresh daily using pizza crust made from Shepherd’s Grain sustainably sourced wheat.

Chef's Creations

Chef's Creations offers everything from familiar favorites to dishes that will excite your palate with new flavors! Try our weekly lunch rotation of built-to-order ramen, bibimbap, pasta, curries, and more! Visit us at dinner for comfort foods like pot roast or eggplant parmesan, or go for a light grilled salmon, chicken breast, or quinoa stuffed pepper.

Big Cat Grille

The Big Cat Grille serves a rotating selection of burgers, veggie burgers, sandwiches, chicken strips, fries, and more! Customize your burger by adding bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onions, or one of our many sauces! Gluten-free burgers and sandwiches can be made on request.

The Hot Spot

Warm up at the Hot Spot! Build your own personalized soup creation, seasoned to your taste, using one of our three rotating soup bases each day. From our healthy and hearty famous lentil chili, to our indulgent seafood chowder and creamy coconut curry, we have something for everyone!

Field of Greens Salad Bar

Make your salad an appetizing side dish or a full meal with our selection of colorful vegetables, lean proteins, and specialty salads. Pack your salad with protein from chickpeas, chicken, tofu, and edamame, or indulge in one of our dessert salads.

Gluten-Free Options

Check out our gluten-free zone for a variety of gluten-free muffins, cookies, bagels, and breads. Our gluten-free zone also houses a separate toaster with a lock combination reserved for students with severe allergies to gluten/wheat. For more information, see a chef or a manager in the dining centers, or contact our dietitian at alice.ma@wsu.edu or at 509-335-4785.

Natural

The Natural station is a gluten-friendly, allergen-friendly platform that excludes the top-eight common allergens. Create your own rice bowl, Tex-Mex, gluten-free pasta, or Mongolian wok dish with your choice of vegetables and sauce. Choose between Halal-certified beef or chicken, or keep your dish vegan by asking for no meat.

Grapevine

Mediterranean-inspired cuisine that delivers color, flavor, and flair. Build yourself a filling plate of pita bread and dolmas to dip in our homemade hummus, or go for something lighter with our marinated lentil, chickpea, and vegetable salads. Top it all off with pumpkin seeds, olives, feta, or our house-made tzatziki.

Stop by Subs & Wraps for a custom-made sandwich or wrap, with your choice of bread or tortilla, protein, cheeses, vegetables, and sauces.
