Cougar Choice Day Celebrates Students

Join Dining Services on April 18, 2018, at Hillside Café in celebration of Cougar Choice Day.

Cougar Choice Day is Dining Services’ way of celebrating students by serving menu items selected by students.

“In the past, the dining centers would select menu items they thought students would want based on what sold the most,” Executive Chef Jason Butcherite said. “This year, we decided to come at it from a different approach by asking students what dishes they would like to see at the event.”

Most of the items on the Cougar Choice Day menu are dishes students have tasted before. Some of these dishes include eggs benedict for breakfast, Thai meatballs with curry sauce for lunch, and pork ribs for dinner.

The goal of this event is to provide students with the menu items they enjoy most, Butcherite said.

“At the end of the day, we want to talk to the WSU students and get their take on what food they want to see in the dining centers,” Butcherite said. “Cougar Choice Day is something we would like to continue in the future.”

Dining Services welcomes student feedback and is dedicated to providing students with a variety of nutritious food options.
