Nutritional Information

Dining Services wins 2009 Most Innovative Nutrition Program

Annie Roe, MS, RD with WSU Dining Services' 2009 NACUFS Award for "Most Innovative Nutrition Program"You may have read about myNutrition, an innovative nutritional website from Dining Services, or enjoyed a Dinner with the Dining Services Registered Dietitian, or maybe even participated in the 2009 "Find Your Balance Challenge."

These three programs are all parts of what has been named the 2009 Most Innovative Nutrition Program, according to the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS).

The nutrition program at Washington State University is a combination of innovative programs that centralize around the theme of "eat well, stay active, live fit." Using this theme as a stepping stone for all programs, Dining Services is continually putting into motion programs that will be beneficial and aid students, faculty, and staff in adopting healthy lifestyles.

Receiving this award is a great honor and illustrates Dining Services' commitment to "Making a Difference."

Nutrition Facts

Nutrition facts are available for all dining services menu items in every dining services facility.  Please visit netnutrition.wsu.edu for Nutrition Facts and meal planning. 

Allergies and Dietary Concerns

Dining Services wants to provide our guests with nutritious food and an excellent dining experience. We take food allergies and dietary restrictions seriously. Please contact Annie Roe, Registered Dietitian, at (509) 335-4785 if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. She will work with you to assist the Chef and the General Manager in the developing a list of food items that will meet your nutritional needs. If special food items are required in order to meet your nutritional needs, the Dining Services Culinary Team will evaluate the possibility of ordering these special items.

Healthy Options, Vegetarian and Vegan Options

Dining Services meticulously labels all of the Healthy Options, Vegan Options, and Vegetarian options available to customers in the Dining Centers.  We have a variety of snacks, sides, and beverages that meet healthy options criteria.  Each dining center also serves a Vegetarian Entree and a Healthy Options 500 Calorie Meal Daily. 

Recipes and Ingredients

All units have unique menus and recipes. If you have questions regarding ingredients in a specific menu item while in the dining centers, please contact the unit manager on duty. The Unit Chef, or the General Manager will provide you with the ingredient information for a specific menu item.

By informing our dietitian, we can best serve you by pointing out which foods to avoid. If you are having an allergic reaction, seek medical help immediately.
